Deaconess Martha Farley Sayor
The Sayor, Farley and Johnson families' regret to announce the sudden home going of their Mother, daughter, Aunt, Sister, and Grand Mother, Deaconess Martha Farley Sayor after 69 years of earthly existence.
This sad event occurred at the Fidelity Hospital on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the precise hour of 6:30pm after a brief illness.
The body of the Late Mother Martha Farley Sayor is presently at the Samuel Striker Funeral Parlor awaiting interment.
The Late Deaconess Martha Farley Sayor was a retired classroom Teacher and a devoted member of the S. Trowen Nagbe United Methodist Church and the Liberia Annual Conference where she served as President of the Deaconess Board of the Monrovia District/LAC prior to her death.
The family of the Late Deaconess Sayor is currently meeting at the Old Road Residence of her daughter, Carrie Sayor-Yancy.
The Late Deaconess Martha F. Sayor is survived by: 7 (Seven) children, Floyd Oxley Sayor, Carie Sayor-Yancy, Jlayteh Sayor, Garrison Sayor, Piggie Sayor Boye, Decontee Sayor, and Sairnty Papus Sayor. 3 daughter in-laws Tenneh Kemokai-Sayor, Mariah Dioh Sayor, Barbie Massah Sayor, 2 sons in-law Francis Leo Yancy, Joseph Boye, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, 26 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, uncles, nieces, nephews, and the host of other relatives within and out of Liberia.
Wake keeping and Funeral Announcements are as follows:
On Thursday, August 26, 2021, the remains of the late Deaconess Martha Farley Sayor will be removed from the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Service at 4:00pm and taken to the S.T. Nagbe United Methodist Church on 14th & 13th streets for wake keeping beginning at 5:00pm.
On Friday, August 27, 2021, the funeral service will be held at the S.T. Nagbe Methodist Church located on 13th Street for two hours (9:00-11:00am) while observing all of the health protocol measures in keeping with MOH guidelines. Burial will take place at the Kaiser Memorial Lawn located in Brewerville outside of Monrovia.
