Edythe Konor Sombai-Freeman Buitendyke
The Buitendyke and Sombai-Freeman families announce the death in her 68th year of Mrs. Edythe Konor Sombai-Freeman Buitendyke, former Deputy Minister for Post and Telecommunications, Ministry of Post and Telecommunications and recently employed at the University of Liberia as a librarian and lecturer.
She leaves to mourn her loss her children, Rev. Derrick A. Buitendyke, Mr. Fitzgerald A. Buitendyke, Mrs. Corothy Rogers and Mr. Emmanuel G. Buitendyke, two brothers, Dr. S. Vaanii Freeman and Mr. Emmanuel B. Freeman, one sister, Madam Sando Freeman-Cole, her well loved nieces and nephews of Liberia, London and the United States of America and a host of relatives and friends here and around the world.
Funeral arrangement are as follows:
On Thursday, December 13, 2012 starting at 6:00 PM a two hour wake will be held at the Abraham Roberts Funeral Home Chapel opposite the Stephen Tolbert Estate. All tributes except family, church and state will be made during the wake.
On Friday, December 14, 2012 at 10:00 AM the funeral service will take place at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Paynesville. Only family, church and state will make tributes at the funeral service.
Interment follows at the Kaiser Lawn Cemetery in Brewerville, Montserrado, Liberia.
