Charles Anthony Minor

Sunrise: January 31, 1957 ─ Sunset: September 30, 2011

The Minor and King Families announce with profound sadness the home going of Charles Anthony "Stagger" Minor. This sad event occurred on Friday, September 30th at the ELWA Hospital in Liberia; when he staggered us on short notice to be with the Lord.

Charles leaves to mourn his loss and to cherish his memory, his son adopted Oliver; sisters: Johnetta Minor (Providence, RI), Gertrude Minor Nwaobi (Nigeria), Adelaide Minor (Monrovia); Sophie Minor (Atlanta, GA), Elizabeth Minor Lavala (Monrovia), Tanis Harding (Italy), Beatrice Martin (Winston-Salem), and Myra Morris (Milwaukee). Brothers: Alfred Minor (Minnesota), Buster Minor, Ernest Minor (Monrovia), and Edwin Minor (Columbia, MD); his only surviving aunt Melvinia King Okai (Monrovia); nieces: Millie Minor Williams (Monrovia), Ella Minor Hooke (Atlanta, GA), Lydia Greene Mappy (Morrisville, PA), Loretta Jallah (Charlotte, NC), Cornelia Porte (Atlanta, GA), and Maggie Outland (Monrovia). Nephews: Wilfred Minor, Charles Cassell, Anthony and Lawrence Freeman. Cousins: the Nelsons, Weavers, Cephas, Bensons, Earlys, and McGee families, and a host of relatives and friends in Liberia, USA and abroad; including his Providence Baptist Church, LBDI, ACDB, UL, and Ricks Institute families.

Charles was born unto the union of Deacon John Henry Minor and Mrs. Dolly King Minor who predeceased him. Sisters who predeceased him were Cleo King, Marthan Minor, Frances Minor, Celestine Minor Brown, and Dolly Minor Briamah. His three brothers who also predeceased him were John Minor, Jr., William "Bill" Minor, and James "JH" Lewis.
