Ambassador Edward Gboloco Howard-Clinton

Scripture: Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle Ambassador Edward Gboloco Howard-Clinton. After an extended struggle and brave stance while facing illness, Dr. Howard-Clinton (Gboloco or Ed as he was affectionately known) went to be with the Lord on September 24th, 2020 in Maryland, U.S.A.

He leaves behind his wife, Mrs. Rawda Omar Clinton, his children, Lashea Howard-Clinton, Omar E. Clinton, Trokon E. Clinton, Rahmat R. Clinton and Amani M. Clinton. He also leaves his siblings Mrs. Annie Buxton, Ms. Ruth Howard, Mrs. Delores Wallace and Mr. Francis “Eualdo” Howard, his grandson, Sidney Edward Howard-Clinton and his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and close friends.

Dr. Howard-Clinton was a distinguished public servant who was admitted into the Human Order of Africa’s Redemption and worked for many years in the USA and in Africa (the United Nations, the former Organisation of African Unity – OAU and he served as Liberia’s former Ambassador to Ethiopia in the 2000’s.)

While we will miss his laughter, wisdom and caring demeanour, we trust in God’s grace and everlasting protection. May he rest in peace and may the Almighty’s protection and comfort be provided to his loved ones.

We thank all of his wonderful friends and beautiful family for the love and support that they have shown during these challenging times. May you be blessed just as we were for knowing him and sharing great times with him. We will always cherish his memory.
